spoiler mark is a frictionless book club progress tracker designed to solve the problem of accidental spoilers. It allows book clubs to track their reading progress through a grid where chapters are locked until marked as read. Signing in is optional, allowing for quick, link-based access to shared reading hubs.

About the Project

The core idea behind spoiler mark is to make book club discussions stress-free. In many book clubs, members read at different paces, making it easy to accidentally spoil future chapters. spoiler mark provides a shared space where users can see what chapters others have read without revealing spoilers for chapters they haven't reached yet.

Key Features

  • Frictionless Access: Join a book club simply by clicking a link and typing your name—no mandatory account creation.
  • Locked Chapter Grid: Chapters remain locked and their discussion hidden until you mark them as read.
  • Discussion Hubs: Safe zones for discussing specific chapters once they are unlocked.
  • Optional Accounts: While frictionless by default, signing in allows you to manage all your book clubs in one unified library.
